Leader replacement

Replacing a leader who steps down.

Purpose

To replace a leader without disrupting the group.

Procedure

  1. The leader tells the chairperson or the Bridge team in writing, or the group agrees to remove the leader at a meeting.
  2. The group chooses a replacement who is a registered member of the group.
  3. The Bridge team adds the new leader as a candidate, who uploads documents (BRG-SOP-003).
  4. When the new leader is approved, the old leader's role is closed and their access to the Leader area ends.
  5. Records and passwords handled by the old leader are handed over to the new leader.

Records

Replacement date, reason and approvals. Documents of the old leader remain on record.
