Our Mission

Vision

Every Zimbabwean, regardless of income or location, can access the internet affordably and reliably.

Mission

  • Organize local youth and parents into micro-communities
  • Pool small monthly contributions ($1–$2) to secure high-speed internet
  • Extend connection to homes via mesh networking technology
  • Run the entire network by volunteers, for the people

Why Bridge?

  • Internet access is a fundamental right for social inclusion
  • Affordable through our cooperative model
  • Local ownership ensures community impact
  • Economic uplift through online opportunities

How It Works

1

Form a Local Circle

Youth and parents in a ward gather, aiming for ~50 members. Each pledges $1–$2 USD per month.

2

Central Connectivity Point

Secure a broadband link at the nearest library or church. Example: 10 Mbps fiber uplink from local ISP.

3

Home Distribution

Deploy mesh firmware on routers using LibreMesh. Use Ubiquiti NanoStation M2 for point-to-point links.

4

Operations & Governance

Elect a 3-person committee per area. Use our portal to manage members, notices, and finances.
